Light a white candle in a quiet place.
Select a place you feel comfortable.
You will want to be alone for this healing moment. Gently stare at the burning candle. As you gaze into the flame, I want you to speak out loud or in your mind, either is fine, the name of your loved one. Say their name a few times in your mind or out loud.
Then wait…
Wait until you see the candle flicker. When you see the candle jump or move side to side, you can begin.
Tell your loved one everything that comes to your mind. You can yell, whisper, cry, and be pissed as hell, but tell them what you want them to hear. Get it all out. Talk as long as you want, until nothing is left in you. Then when you feel like you’ve said everything within you and told them how you feel about them (good or bad) sit silently for a minute.
Now it’s their turn to speak.
Let them know it’s their turn and that you are listening. When they have nothing more to say, thank them.
Blow out your candle.
